Expanding shelter capacity is a priority many people in Santa Cruz County have called for. But as our community works to address homelessness and make difficult funding decisions, it’s important to understand what shelter resources we have, who they serve, what they cost, and how well they help people move toward long-term housing stability.

Join the Housing for Health Partnership (H4HP) for our upcoming Continuum of Care (CoC) Community Meeting, where we’ll take a closer look at shelter in Santa Cruz County. Together, we’ll explore current shelter options, how people access them, where gaps remain, and how shelter connects to longer-term housing solutions.

The meeting will also include H4HP updates, a look ahead at our next three-year strategic framework, and opportunities for community discussion about funding priorities and future solutions. As we plan for the next three years, hearing from community members and partners is an important part of understanding how we can make the greatest impact with the resources available.
