Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health Division invites you to participate in our Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Community Program Planning process. We’ll be hosting three regional community forums to hear from individuals, families, providers, and partners affected by mental health and substance use challenges.

Your feedback will help shape the County’s first Behavioral Health Integrated Plan, launching July 1, 2026.

The annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026. The PIT Count is vital to secure funding and support the development of policies that will help resolve homelessness in Santa Cruz County. If you are interested in volunteering, sign up to be notified when volunteer registration is open and attending trainings. Sign up here.

The PIT Count will take place county-wide with the help of volunteers, including community members, those experiencing homelessness and staff from multiple city and county departments. Using an app-based data collection tool, volunteers will cover the entire county on the morning of January 30 from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
